DESTROYED

General Report ..................................................................................................................................................................... (6.)

Bomber intercept over friendly ships south of the peninsula.

6th staf. spotted flight of 6 A20's escorted by around 4 or 5 fighters on top cover. We climbed above and engaged. Spotted several victories, but unfortunately we lost Yellow 1 to an LA5 from behind.

yellow 3, yellow 10 and I mopped up the remaining fighters, claiming 2 myself (confirmed by 3) and chased the A20's inland. During the attack on the A20's I lost visual of 3 and presumed lost/MIA. Destroyed 1 A20 confirmed by 10. I took a piece of debris to the right wing, which took off my right flap and sent a HUGE crack 3/4 of the way down the wing from trailing edge to leading edge. Critical damage but the plane was still barely flying.

I dare not land with that level of damage so I limped slowly to the air field and bailed out over a field about 1km away and let the plane crash into the ground.

Picked up by friendly truck on patrol. Seems of the entire flight, only Yellow 10 and I made it back to base, with 10 being the only one who ACTUALLY landed. Pour one out for the homies.
