late evening intercept over our airfield with 3x bf109's
We took off and patrolled for about 25 minutes with no contact. Stab 1 instructed us to drop to 2k meters and orbit the airfield to prepare to land if no contact. Just as we were about to break to land, lead called contacts south of the coast. yellow 10 went ahead and landed but I turned south to assist stab 1. I spotted him attacking the formation of 5 or so bombers and 4 fighters on escort. Saw stab 1 dive in and set a bomber on fire, ID'd as B25's. Confirmed kill for Stab 1. I proceeded to climb above and chased them. By the time I caught up the bombers were heading east back towards the coast, they never made it to the target.
I dove in and shot up a b25, and watch them bail out over land so there are 5 or 6 russians running around in the forests on the east coast
