Immediately upon reaching combat altitude Yellow 1 noticed 5 enemy aircraft to the southwest of Krymskaya. We moved to engage and Yellow 4 was killed early on. I damaged one Hurricane MKII before I was in turn damaged by a Hurricane. While on fire I downed one Hurricane before bailing out over friendly lines. I was pretty badly burned.
