Flew patrol south of Krimskaya. We encountered a flight of enemy fighters attacking a flight of Stukas. The planes were identified to be the new Spitfire. During the course of combat I was hit in the oil cooler, forced me to RTB. Engine died before getting to the airfield and had to bail. Landed safely and was picked up by friendly forces. We managed to down all 3 of the new planes.

Note on the Spitfire, they are extremely fast despite being known as a turn fighter. Even at max combat power I had issues keeping up. I did get good damage on one before I was hit and force to disengage, Bruno later finished him off.
