Escort flight. Escort 4x Ju88 to bomb storage hangars in the Krymskaya/Anapa area. Spotted 2x A20's on the Taman coast on ingress, ignored to stay with bombers.
On target approach, intercepted by 4x LA5, and 2x Lagg3. We got to them first before they could get to the bombers. Damaged several of them quickly making them combat ineffective. Flight shot down 5 of the 6, and friendly FW190's got the last one. JU88s hit the targets successfully, with only minor damage to the lead bomber from AAA. I splashed 1 LA5 and 1 Lagg3 during the engagement, confirmed by yellow 10. Confirmed 1 for yellow 10, and confirmed 1 for yellow 3.
Continued to egress and cover the bombers.
Back at the Taman peninsula, we spotted the A20's again, this time we dove in. I blew up 1 on the first pass. The 2nd one was damaged by yellow 10, then 3 and I lit it up together at the same time causing a major fire. Crew bailed
