CAP near home base anapa. Radar picked up 3 flights of planes. 6th staffel headed southeast towards the bay to pick up the big group, and Stab flight broke north to pick up the small group.
Stab flight engaged and destroyed 2x IL2 at Anapa 2 airfield and proceeded to regroup with 6th staf.
6th staf. engaged flight of PE2 as well as a flight of IL2. Several kills all around, minor casualties.
Yellow 12 had a prop strike and had to belly land in a field. Pilot and plane recovered with minor damage. Yellow 3 had minor damage to the engine cowling and radiator, (no engine damage)
stab regrouped with 6th staf. just east of Anapa and proceeded to down the last remaining IL2s.
Enemy forces were NOT able to successfully get any bombs off on friendly ground targets. We successfully stymied the attack.
