Mission was to close ai patrol over friendly lines to the south of our airfield Staro-Nijne-Steblievskaya. We took off under bad weather conditions and proceeded to the combat area at a low altitude. encountered some Pe-2s and engaged. I made a good first pass and my wingman White 6 finished him off. Took longer to form up than expected and missed a flight of enemy aircraft leaving the lines. We RTB with no incident.
