First time back up in the air. I have a spiffy new 109 to my name -- this time with a pretty bow by the cockpit. Har har. Today Stab and Yellow flights scrambled to intercept a flight of La-5s (from what I could see) up north from our new airfield, Kerch. Flying over the water like that was a little disconcerting but it turned out all right. I downed one as second element wing, someone saw him spiral down into the drink. Our new pilot, Yellow 4, did very well for himself! He downed two. He'll make an ace yet.
