OfW Fiedler was killed during a mission to protect shipping. After following her lead Hptm Biertrinker in multiple successful attacks, the two engaged a flight of A-20s. The two were separated. Before his wing was critically damaged, Biertrinker witnessed a fireball in the direction where he last saw Fiedler.
