Penetrate mission, north along the coast into enemy lines. On the northern leg of the patrol, we spotted a flight of 2 LA5's and engaged. However, we did not see the flight of 3 Yaks that jumped us at the same time. Fortunately we were able to fight it out.
black 2 hit in the engine, landed safely on the coast. Sent a truck to pick him up.
I hit 1 La5 in the engine and it burst into flames and the pilot bailed. 2nd claim on a Yak that I shot up and was forced to land, but crashed and blew up. Confirm one La5 for White 8 as well.
White 8 and I regrouped and headed south to RTB to Anapa
