A large flight (9). Intercepted Yaks and what turned out to be bomb-armed P-39s over the straight. Sent 3 & 4 to tackle the "bombers", while we tried to deal with the fighters. It quickly turned into a confused melee, and 3 & 4 were shot down quickly. I damaged several yaks, and lit one on fire over the lake.
2 suffered engine damage and was forced to bail out near the field.
