Patrol flight on the coastal swamp regions north of anapa. very bad weather on patrol. Yellow3 had mechanical issues and could not take off so we went as a flight of 4

spotted and lost one flight of planes heading west along the northern coast, was not able to pick back up. Turned east along the coast and spotted a flight of 3 planes heading back east. As we approached them we spotted yet another flight of planes, definitely fighters. We intercepted and merged with the fighters, P39s x3

Yellow12 was knocked out immediately, hit by a head on pass by a bandit under his nose he could not see. Managed to bail out, good chute. I pursued that target and heavily damaged him, eventually causing him to crash (confirmed by yellow10). 2nd target was heavily damaged by Yellow6 and crashed (I can confirm). Last target was engaging yellow6 from behind. 6 evaded successfully and I was able to pursue, causing a fuel leak, then a huge explosion. Must have hit the tank. Had to dodge through huge pieces of debris.

Regrouped and continued patrol, no other contacts, RTB at anapa
