Early morning mission 0700 out of Bagerovo - 2 flights consisting of 7 Bf 109s
Piloting a Bf109 G4 as element lead in second flight
Takeoff and form up in left hand orbit over airfield
Ground attack mission at beach head established by Russian landing craft between 2 lakes south of Kerch. Unable to visualise ground vehicles due to the low light. 2nd flight engaged landing craft. Direct hit with 250 pound bomb on 2 separate landing craft by myself and my wing man.
Entered right hand orbit north of beach head. On RTB noticed and engaged 4 x Yaks in dogfight with 4 Bf 110s over Bagerovo airfield at 4000m. Good hits on several times on one Yak, finished off by my wingman. 3 Yaks in total downed. 4th Yak fled east.
Landed safely at Bagerovo Airfield.
