Confusing mission in the clouds. Stab flight engaged a lone yak on the south coast. 6 staffel encountered a "phantom"... broke thinking we were being bounced, but never re-acquired the contact.
Then encountered two? yaks in the clouds. I witnessed one shot down in flames, then blew one to pieces near the coast. While RTB, 10 was shot down and killed by a P-39 in the pattern. Witnessed it shot down.
